14thMarch09

It feel really good to saw this kind of view the moment you open your eyes.
a cold morning...
Had a simple simple breakfast.
the quantity was not enough for this 9 people table.

after breakfast
it was a self declared photo taking session
The Bridge & Buildings

GROUP SHOTS!!

Siew Bo
we are in the same Commt and IAC Class.
Suicide bomber
*six bottles of mineral water*
This fine chap here is my primary school friend, Randolf.
it was quite surprise that i could meet him on this trip
and of course will be sawing him often on other trips as well.

He's from MDE, Logistic Management.
He's a photographer
and yes he do take nice photos.
Seriously. They located in another Wuhan university which is way nearer to the city area.
though our apartment are better them them
and since they are nearer to the city area which means that
they have more things to play!!
such as amusement park
or even a massage shop which charge ALOT more cheaper then in Singapore
*he plan to go for a massage after the three groges trip*

At around 10am sharp we are to transfer to another tour boat to explore Sheng Nong stream.

Shen Nong Stream is a tributary of Yangtze River, it's located in the Hubei Province of central China.
Ever since the beginning of the construction of the Three Gorges Dam downstream on the Yangtze, the water level has risen approximately 155 meters at the mouth of Shen Nong Stream.
The lower reaches of the Shen Nong Stream are presently a torpidly flowing river, mo
st of whose previously scenic vertical gorges is now submerged.

Everyone was quite excited as there will be a lot of sight seeing and a step closer to nature.

Careful not to drop into the river~
Around the boat, there lots of this life-buoyancy on the side of the railing
and the fire extinguisher.
Safety first!!
All this fire hydrant have a mirror
i wonder why is that so..
the only conclusion is that since the fire hydrant will spoil the image of the atmosphere there and thus beautify it, another uses of this could also be a mirror for everyone.
so everyone can adjust themselves and took a nice photo with the scenery.

Following photo is a very good example...

The best photo of myself all thanks to Ernest.Rainbow Bear & Randolf.
A long stretch of stairs connecting the Dragon Palace and Mortal world.

It is common to see stairs like this along the river bank, the stairs is build to this length is because it has to do with the water level.
With these long stairs, small boats "sampan" are easy to access to no matter what's the level of water.

bridge that the tour boat pass by

The Shen Nong Stream
The motor of the "sampan"
each sampan consist of six men to row the boat
three men in the front - two right rower & one left rower
two men at the stern - one left rower & one steer the boat

The six men pulling the sampan.
From the tour guide that these men only earn 30Rmb per sampan
and it has to further split to the six men.

Earn a living is really difficult out in this world
We are fortunate that we are staying in Singapore with better education and we should cherish it

deserted destroyed house
These kids have hot potatoes on their hands
they are selling these to earn some money.

Considering that they are so young and yet they came out to earn some money
when i was still at their age i might still be staying at home waiting food to be serve by parents.
We are really bless.

On the way back to our cruise
many felt tired and took a nap.
Napping in process.
